TOP Goat

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

TOP Goat helps breeders advertise livestock and connect with prospective buyers. Visitors can browse listings and submit inquiries without signing in. This Policy explains how we handle information used to operate those services and breeder accounts.

1. Introduction

TOP Goat ("TOP Goat," "we," "us," or "our") operates an online livestock listing platform and breeder directory. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit top-goat.com or use our services.

Visitors can browse public goat listings and breeder profiles without creating an account. Prospective buyers may also submit inquiries to breeders without signing in.

By using the website, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by law, we will request it separately.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use TOP Goat, we may collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the website, and information received from service providers.

Account information may include a breeder’s name, email address, farm name, location, telephone number, login-related information, and membership status.

Listing and profile information may include goat names, breeds, sex, birth dates, registration numbers, prices, descriptions, photographs, farm logos, banners, and other information a breeder chooses to publish.

Inquiry information may include a buyer’s name, email address, telephone number, message, and details supplied through an inquiry form. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary.

Payment-related information may include membership status, transaction identifiers, billing status, and subscription information. Payment card details are handled through our payment processor as described below, rather than being intentionally collected in ordinary inquiry messages.

Technical information may include IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, and information generated by security or analytics systems, depending on the services and settings enabled.

3. Public Listings and Profiles

TOP Goat is designed to help breeders promote their farms and livestock to the public. Information a breeder publishes on a public profile or listing may be viewed by anyone, including visitors who do not have an account.

Public information may include farm names, locations, contact details that breeders choose to display, animal descriptions, prices, registration details, and uploaded images.

Please consider carefully what information you publish. Public content may be copied, saved, indexed by search engines, or shared by other people. Removing information from TOP Goat may not remove copies held by third parties.

Breeders are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to publish the information and images they submit.

4. Buyer Inquiries

Visitors can submit inquiries to breeders without signing in. When an inquiry is submitted, we collect the information requested by the form and the message the visitor chooses to send.

We use inquiry information to deliver the message to the intended breeder, support communications about a listing, operate the platform, prevent abuse, and address technical or security issues.

The breeder receiving an inquiry may use the information to respond and communicate directly with the prospective buyer. Once information is sent to a breeder, the breeder may handle it under their own privacy practices and legal obligations.

Do not include passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information in an inquiry.

TOP Goat does not guarantee that a breeder will respond to an inquiry or that a transaction will result.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information to provide and operate the website; create and maintain breeder accounts; publish and manage listings; deliver buyer inquiries; process and manage breeder memberships; provide customer support; troubleshoot errors; protect accounts and systems; detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms of Use.

We may also use aggregated or appropriately de-identified information to understand website performance and improve the services, where permitted by law.

We do not sell livestock on behalf of breeders and do not process payments for private livestock transactions through TOP Goat.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

TOP Goat and its service providers may use cookies, session technologies, logs, and similar tools needed to operate the website, maintain authentication, protect security, and understand website performance.

The website uses Vercel Analytics. Depending on the configuration, analytics may process technical information about website visits and interactions.

The technologies in use and their purposes may change as the website evolves. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notices and obtain consent before using technologies that require it.

Your browser may provide controls for managing cookies and site data. Disabling certain technologies may affect website functionality.

7. Service Providers and Information Sharing

We may share information with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate TOP Goat. These providers may process information on our behalf according to their services and applicable arrangements.

Supabase: used for database, authentication, and related application services, depending on the feature.

Vercel: used for website hosting, deployment, and related infrastructure and analytics services.

Stripe: used to process breeder membership payments and related billing events. Stripe may independently process information under its own privacy documentation.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights and safety of TOP Goat or others, investigate suspected fraud, or enforce our agreements.

If TOP Goat undergoes a business reorganization, merger, financing, or sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Any additional sharing or processing will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the disclosures provided when information is collected.

8. Membership Payments

TOP Goat offers paid breeder memberships. When a breeder purchases a membership, Stripe processes the payment according to the checkout and billing configuration.

We may receive information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, subscription status, billing dates, and limited payment-method details needed to manage the membership.

TOP Goat does not process payments between buyers and breeders for animal sales. Buyers and breeders arrange those transactions independently outside the platform.

For information about how Stripe processes personal information, review Stripe’s privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating accounts, maintaining listings, managing memberships, resolving disputes, protecting security, and meeting legal or accounting obligations.

Retention periods depend on the type of information, the purpose for which it is used, and applicable legal requirements.

If an account closes or a listing is removed, some information may remain in backups, security logs, transaction records, or other records where retention is necessary or legally permitted. Public copies held by third parties may remain available.

You may contact us to request deletion or correction of information, subject to identity verification, technical limitations, and applicable legal exceptions.

10. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

If a security incident occurs, we will respond and provide notifications as required by applicable law.

11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You may request assistance with your account information or ask a privacy question by contacting TOP Goat using the contact information published on the website.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may be retained where necessary to comply with law, maintain security, complete transactions, or establish or defend legal claims.

If applicable law provides a right to appeal a privacy request decision or complain to a regulator, nothing in this Policy limits that right.

12. Children’s Privacy

TOP Goat’s account and membership services are intended for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through services directed to them.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to TOP Goat, contact us so we can assess the request and take appropriate action as required by law.

13. External Websites

TOP Goat may contain links to third-party websites, including livestock registration organizations and service providers. Those websites operate independently and have their own privacy practices.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of external websites before submitting information to them. We are not responsible for privacy practices outside our control.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making changes that require it.

15. Contact TOP Goat

For privacy questions, requests to access or correct personal information, or concerns about how information is handled, contact TOP Goat through the official contact information published on the website.

Before publishing this Policy, provide an official support or privacy contact email and an appropriate business mailing address.
